International Management

Sigle: S9316, ECTS: 1

Objectifs du cours

Managers increasingly face situations in which they need to take cultural factors into consideration. Whether they work for a multinational corporation, a company in a foreign country, or a company that recruits internationally, managers engage frequently in work relations with superiors, colleagues, and subordinates whose behavior and expectations are sometimes unfamiliar to them. This course provides insight into the cultural dynamics of managerial work, such as recruitment, promotion, remuneration, team work, and conflict resolution. Using different analytical frames of reference, the course examines case studies from a variety of cultural contexts with the aim of increasing cultural competency.
